The list of fastest cars in the world 2011 – 2012 has been released with top positions belonging to Bugatti Veyron, Koenigsegg Agera R and SSC Ultimate Aero.
Bugatti Veyron
The Bugatti Veyron is recently voted the world’s most powerful, most expensive, new fastest road-legal car with top speed of 431.07 km/h (267.85 mph). Especially, the car was named the Car of the Decade (2000–2009) by the BBC television programme Top Gear. Bugatti Veyron was developed and produced by the German Volkswagen Group and produced by Bugatti Automobiles SAS in France. Thanks to Narrow Angle 8 Liter W16 Engine with 1200 hp engine, the car can reach 267 mph from 0 – 60 in 2.5 secs. The Bugatti Veyron’s price tag is $ 1,700,000.

The Koenigsegg Agera R has top speed of 260 mph thanks to 5.0-liter V8 Engine with twin turbo and will be the Bugatti’s arch enemy in the next 5 years
SSC Ultimate Aero
The SSC Ultimate Aero was named in the fastest car in the world 2010 by Guinness World Records. Thanks to its twin turbo V-8 engine, it produces 1,183 horsepower and 1094 ft.-lbs, the car can reach 257 mph from 0 – 60 in 2.7 secs
Saleen S7 Twin-Turbo
The Sleen S7, which is also regarded as the limited-production, hand-built, high-performance American automobile, is powered with V8 Engine with 750 hp and able to reach 248 mph from 0 – 60 to 3.2 secs
Koenigsegg CCX
The mid-engined roadster from Swedish car manufacturer Koenigsegg, Koenigsegg CCX, has top speed of 245 mph thanks to 90 Degree V8 Engine 806 hp
McLaren F1
McLaren F1 is the supercar developed and manufactured by McLaren Automotive which can each up to 240 mph thanks to BMW S70/2 60 Degree V12 Engine with 627 hp
Gumpert Apollo
Gumpert Apollo can accelerate from 0 – 62mph in 2.8 seconds and has a top speed of 225mph. The car is powered with V8 Engine with 650 hp
Noble M600
Noble M600, which is the handbuilt British supercar made by Noble Automotive in Leicestershire, has top speed of 223 mph
Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster
Pagani Zonda is the mid-engined sports car produced by Pagani in Italy which can reach 217 mph from 0-60 to 3.4 secs thanks to twin turbocharged AMG V12 engine with 678 hp
Ferrari Enzo
Enzo Ferrari is the 12 cylinder mid-engine berlinetta named after the company’s founder, Enzo Ferrari. The car has top speed of 217 mph due to F140 Aluminum V12 Engine with 660hp
